How to Edit your Zoom Name

Edit your name before entering a meeting

To edit your Display Name for all Zoom meetings

• Open the Zoom app on your desktop/laptop
• Select Zoom – Preferences from the top left hand corner of the screen
• Choose Profile from the list which appears
• Click on Edit My Profile

• This will open the Zoom site in your browser
• Login to your account
• When in your account select Edit on the right near your user name
• Change your Display Name (not Last Name)

• Scroll down the page and click on Save Changes
• Select your Profile Image from the top right hand corner

• Choose SIGN OUT from the dropdown box
• Your Display name will now be updated for all Zoom meetings

Edit your name during a meeting

To edit your Display Name for current Zoom meeting only

• During a Zoom meeting press the More button at the bottom of the screen
• Select Participants from the menu

• Hover over your own name in the Participants list on the right
• Press the More⌄ button
• Then Rename

• Edit your name in the Rename popup window
• Press Rename
• This will only edit your name for this meeting, your display name will remain the same for other Zoom meetings
