Do you find the constant notifications popping up on your screen distracting? Use the Do Not Disturb feature on your Mac if you are in a meeting, presenting or for your child while they are in lessons or doing homework.
Temporarily Turn Off Notifications
- Click on the button in the top right hand corner of the Mac screen, it looks like a bulleted list
- From the Popup menu that appears on the right, scroll up to the top (these options are hidden)
- Use the slider to turn DO NOT DISTURB on

- Do not disturb will be turned off until the next day unless you go back and turn it Off
Set Do Not Disturb using a timer
- Click on System Preferences
- Click on Notifications

- Put a tick in the box under Turn on Do Not Disturb
- Select the times to Start (From) and End (to) the Do No Disturb, we use this option for our kids during School hours

- Close the Notifications window when finished
